3. According to police, the law enforcement officer who was injured in a shooting at Houston's PlazAmericas mall has died. On Wednesday afternoon, there was a gunshot. The victim's identity has not been disclosed, however authorities have confirmed that the officer worked for the San Jacinto County Precinct 1 Constable's Office. PlazAmericas, previously Sharpstown Mall and earlier Sharpstown Center, is a retail mall in Greater Sharpstown, Houston, Texas. The mall is situated on the northwest corner of I-69/US Route 59 and Bellaire Boulevard. This is Houston's third mall, following Gulfgate Mall in 1956 and Meyerland Plaza in 1957, although it is the city's first.
