Surprisingly for a contemporary film, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle makes no evident setup for a sequel, thus there are no hanging plot lines that need to be resolved.
The film closes with the four friends destroying the Jumanji computer game in order to prevent other people from being stuck in the jungle realm. However, the first trailer established that Spencer (Wolff) chose to save the game and return to the forest.
