Brida is determined to get vengeance on Uhtred after the events of season 4. Furthermore, Uhtred had seen his daughter go for Eoferwic with Sigtryggr. We already know that season 5 will continue with that plot. And, this season, we saw Uhtred lose out on love, as he was essentially deceived by Aethelflaed. Will they eventually reignite their love, or is this the end? With Aethelflaed and Edward in possession of Mercia and Wessex, a powerful coalition in season 5 is possible. We have no idea how long that will persist. Additionally, do not forget about Aethelhelm. He is now the greatest danger to Edward's power.
The Fifth Season's Cast
Although the program has not announced an official cast list, it is assumed that all series regulars will return for the forthcoming season. This cast comprises Alexander Dreymon in the role of Uhtred, Arn as Fedara Vicius in the role of Sihtric, Millie Brady in the role of Aethel flaed, Mark Rowley in the role of Finan, and Emily Cox in the role of Brida.
In a nod to Bernard Cornwell's âThe Saxon Stories,â Netflix's chronological series âThe Last Kingdomâ featured Uhtred, the son of a Saxon lord who was abducted and reared as a Dane.
Uhtred's loyalty and objectives are severely tested when he goes on a journey to reclaim his birthright, despite the fact that his roots remain in his homeland and his heart remains with the people who raised him.
