Lady And The Tramp Tramp Vs Rat

Some here argue that it is not appropriate for children now, but I saw it when I was five years old in 1965 and it was so memorable for all the right reasons'(as every Disney cartoon is), that I thought I'd inform any enlightened parents here. Yes, there are some terrible moments, but the one that I will always remember and carry with me is the dog pound; the battle between the two humans (in their shadows, of course) is unimportant, as is the struggle between Tramp and some strays. Because this is a Disney picture, there will be no gore or blood.... The tale is excellent, and the hardships and tribulations all culminate in a very happy conclusion, as with typical Disney fare. Allow them to view it; the sorrow they will see and hear in real life or when playing their games later is nothing compared to what they will see and hear.

Once again, Disney's live-action adaptation of a famous animated film reaches the target of "alright." This is most certainly not a horrible film. The introduction is really rather wonderful, and the film as a whole contains a lot of great artistic elements. The few tunes are rather good. Not at all cringe-worthy; they don't waste time on them. The dogs' CGI is hit or miss. While some scenes are very convincing and visually appealing, others might seem a little goofy. However, the film loses the aesthetic brilliance that an animated picture provides, and since this version is somewhat longer than the animated version, the film ends up looking a little sluggish and drawn out. There are a few chuckle-worthy moments, and it does build up a little at the conclusion, but this is a fairly forgettable film that is best left playing in the background during a casual night. Bear in mind that this is a direct-to-video release, and you will not be disappointed.

What are your thoughts on Lady and the Tramp's rat? Do you find it troubling as well, or does it pale in comparison to what we see in modern Disney? Leave your ideas in the comments section below; I'd love to hear from you. Support the blog by becoming a patron at patreon.com/musicgamer460.
