Prior to the season two premiere of Apple TV Plus, a video teased Ted's shortbread recipe by inserting a visual with the words "Ted Lasso's Secret Shortbread (makes about one box)" and an icon picture of a shortbread box. Then they released half of a line and the credits came to a halt, showing nothing more. The number 1236 appears twice throughout the episode, either coincidentally or on design. The first time was when Roy's niece Phoebe totalled the amount of swearing penalty money owing, and the second time was when the coaches disclosed their office paper ball game top score.

Ted apologizes to Nate the next day, and all is forgiven. He informs Nate that he has reviewed his notes and concurs with each one before stating that it will mean less coming from him as he urges Nate to provide the pre-game pep talk. If you were hoping for a heartfelt, touching speech about how the team inspires Nate, you will be disappointed. What we received was unexpected, amusing, and, in my view, superior. Nate goes all-in on a complete roasting of the squad, hitting each member square in the face, but in a lighthearted manner.

At first glance, it may seem as if Rebecca will be the series' principal enemy for the duration of its run. Everything about her golden hair, piercing blue eyes, and ice queen-like demeanor suggested she was an ice queen. Throughout the first few episodes, we witness her aggressively attempting to sabotage Ted's efforts, but in episode three, âTrent Crimm: The Independent,â a blonde curveball is thrown in her direction: Keeley Jones (Juno Tempe).
